FRUIT AND VEGETABLE INTAKE REDUCES INFLAMMATION AND MAY KEEP DEATH AT BAY LONGER

There is increasing evidence that fruit and vegetable consumption affects all-cause mortality. In a study of over 6000 people over 6 years, consuming more fruits and vegetables (especially in those who ate 7 servings or more a day) reduces all-cause mortality. (1) The variety of fruits and vegetables plays an important role in decreasing inflammation and decreasing C-reactive protein (CRP) concentrations as well. (2)

FRUIT AND VEGETABLE INTAKE IMPROVES BMD

Lower bone mineral density (BMD) folks see more positive results of eating more fruits and vegetables and a lower incidence of osteoporosis, too.
